Charlotte Weingartner, DPT, CHT, OCS

CW 240 resCharlotte joined Nantahala Physical Therapy full time in February, 2014, after being with us on a part time basis for two years while she also worked with home health patients through the local hospital.

In November 2015, Charlotte successfully completed all the required examinations and clinical studies to earn the distinguished Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation. These requirements include at least five years of clinical experience as a physical therapist, a minimum of 4,000 hours in direct practice in hand therapy, and successful completion of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper limb rehabilitation. Only approximately 5,400 individuals worldwide hold this marked designation.

Charlotte’s is also certified through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialities in Orthopedics and is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and Certified Health/Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine. She has completed extensive course work in manual therapy of the spine and pelvis and female and male pelvic floor rehabilitation, which includes pelvic incontinence, pain, and chronic constipation issues.

Charlotte is a graduate of the University of Missouri and moved from Jefferson City, MO to Franklin in 2010 with her husband, Dan. In the rare moments when she’s not working, she enjoys hiking and exploring the beautiful mountains.
