Sergio is a native of the island of Cuba, but has lived in the United Sates since 1971. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. Sergio received his Physical Therapist Assistant Certification in July of 2015 after completing training at Southwestern Community College.
Sergio moved from Miami to the mountains of WNC in 1993 so he and his lovely wife, Tessy, could raise their children in a safer, quieter environment.
Before becoming a PTA, Sergio wore many hats, working as a bookkeeper, manager, and computer programmer. He decided to become a PTA because he wanted a career that would make a difference in people’s lives, not only in the short term, but in the long term as well. He cares deeply about the needs and goals of each of the patients he works with, but has a soft spot in his heart for those in the geriatric community.
In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife and spending time with his family.
